Our Food Philosophy
Spinach and Agushi has been inspired by Ghanaian street food. We live and breathe Ghanaian food here at Spinach and Agushi HQ, constantly pushing the boundaries to bring the taste of Ghana straight to the streets of London. Born from Raymond Blanc’s ‘The Restaurant’, Adwoa and Lloyd Mensah went on to break boundaries and put Ghanaian food on the map.
From jollof rice to all the sumptuous stews, we use the freshest ingredients and traditional spicing to deliver an authentic Ghanaian flavor delivered straight to the markets every morning. All our dishes are cooked with loving hands and that love can be tasted in every fork full you put in your mouth. Most of our ingredients are sourced from local suppliers, all food cooked fresh in our kitchens and left to marinade overnight.
There is no hard and fast rule about what to eat and how. There are always a range of stews to choose from including vegetarian, vegan and meat dishes. Our chicken is also Halal. All our delicious stews can be eaten with Jollof rice or soft ripen sweet fried plantain.
